What is Equine Guelph?

Founded in 2003, Equine Guelph is the horse owner’s Centre at the University of Guelph, supported and overseen by equine industry groups, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of horses.

Equine Guelph’s mandate includes all equine activities at the University of Guelph. Equine Guelph focuses on five interrelated areas: research, education and training, performance, healthcare and industry development.

These roles support the horse throughout its lifespan by providing a comprehensive continuum of care that optimizes health, addresses performance issues and fully supports the diagnosis and treatment of sick and injured horses.

The Meaning of Equine Guelph’s Logo

The Mare & Foal is a universal symbol understood by those who care for horses; a powerful icon standing for hope, rebirth and renewal. A new beginning – a new chance.

At Equine Guelph, we believe that every horse deserves a chance.

Each day, this logo inspires us as we work together to realize our mission of helping horses for life.
