The first step in your career in the horse industry!

Phase One of the Groom One Certificate Program, Groom One Orientation will be held at the Pickering Horse Centre in Ajax.

During this 2-day workshop, you will be introduced to the basic tasks of caring for horses; including daily routines, safety, horse health and risk management. Perfect for those new to horses or those planning to work in the horse industry.

    April 25 - Advanced Equine Anatomy:

    The next step in your understanding of the horse’s form and function

    In this advanced laboratory session you will have an opportunity to concentrate on one area of the anatomy of a horse.

    Whether you are interested in the locomotory, respiratory, skeletal, reproduction or circulatory system, you can investigate it in depth to understand the natural form and function.

    Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo:

    New Equine Expo Launches in June!

    This new premier equine experience will cap celebrations during Horse Week when it opens the gates June 4 to 7 at the Arkell Research Station near Guelph, Ontario for all breeds and all disciplines.

    Hosted by Canada’s Outdoor Shows Ltd. in partnership with the University of Guelph’s Arkell Research Station and Equine Guelph, Canada’s Outdoor Equine Expo will offer attendees indoor and outdoor trade show exhibits, interactive displays, expert speakers, professional networking, Equine Guelph’s EquiMania! and much more.

    August 26 - Equi-Challenge 2010 :

    Don’t Miss the Horse Event of the Season!

    Riding on the overwhelming success of the inaugural ‘Equi-Challenge ’09’, held at Greg and Irene Aziz’s spectacular equestrian estate in Caledon, the Ontario Veterinary College is pleased to announce the plans for Equi-Challenge 2010 to be held at Halton Place, August 26.

    While the venue has changed, the unique Equi-Challenge formula, which played to a sold-out crowd in its first year, will remain constant with the top riders from Olympic sports, racing, western and polo ‘changing hats’ for a great cause.



    Equi-Challenge will be an evening to celebrate the diversity of the horse and support the new Equine Sports Medicine and Reproduction Centre at the world leading Ontario Veterinary College.
