October 6th and 13th, 2007

With over 130 horse magazines published throughout North America, many freelance writers and photographers are discovering what appears to be an untapped market. Learning some simple journalism tools and techniques will open doors to the equine publishing market and keep editors asking for more. Day One involves writing and having your work critiqued.

Writers stand a better chance of having their work published if accompanying photographs are provided. Day Two covers basic photography principles and how to use a camera, as well as a photography shoot and having your work critiqued.

Course participants can enter to have their work (written or photography) published in an upcoming issue of International Thoroughbred Digest, a bi-monthly publication dedicated to the Canadian racing community and horse industry.
