Description:triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc., London campus, is actively recruiting for an Equine Massage Therapist to work with us as an Instructor for our equine massage therapy program.

With our expanding equine massage therapy program, we are looking to hire an instructor in a secondary position for equine anatomy, equine management 1 and equine theory & techniques. The successful candidate may also be required to fill in/substitute or act as a secondary instructor and/or examiner for other instructors/courses on occasion as needed.

Job Description:
Their primary role will be to assist the course instructor at the barns. They will be required to transport students to & from barns, assist in teaching & review of material covered in lecture, answer student questions as needed, mark oral practical exams and assist the primary instructor as required.

-Anatomy – assist with teaching & review of bones, joints, palpable points/structures and muscle palpations.
-Management 1 – assist with teaching & review of basic handling of horses, blanketing, grooming, boots & bandaging, tack, lunging & trailering safety.
-Theory & Technique – assist with teaching & review of assessments & observations, massage manipulations, advanced techniques, range of motion and stretching.
-Be the second examiner for oral practical exams for anatomy, management 1, theory & technique.
-May also be asked to be the second examiner for Kinesiology & conformation, remedial exercises, hydrotherapy & treatments.

Dates & times:

* Anatomy – Mondays 1 – 4 pm, September 10th 2018 – February 11th 2019
* Management 1 – Tuesdays & Wednesdays 8 am – 12 pm, September 11th – October 10th 2018
* Theory & Techniques – Tuesdays & Wednesdays 8 am – 12 pm, October 16th 2018 – May 22nd 2019
* The EMT program runs September 10th 2018 until August 1st 2019. Classes are Monday – Thursday 8 am – 12pm and 1 – 5 pm.


* Valid driver’s license to drive a school van to transport students to & from barns.
* Must be a graduate of the Darcy Lane Equine Massage Therapy program.
* Currently practicing equine massage therapy would be an asset.
* Up to date registration with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapist would be an asset.
