Opportunity for a serious, motivated working student at a small, private equestrian facility in Campbellville, Ontario. Our focus is Dressage, including cross training for variety and conditioning. Some of our clients are also eventers that appreciate the value of a strong dressage foundation.

Bring your horse and work off your board and lessons, this is not a live-in position but a super opportunity to learn in a friendly, beautiful and professional facility from an experienced and certified coach (Equine Canada Certified Competition Coach, Pony Club A, BSc. Agriculture and Diploma in Equine Science). Opportunity for additional riding, after initial assessment period, for the appropriate candidate.

A minimum 1 yr commitment is required, we are looking for a keen candidate with an interest in learning or improving their dressage and a strong desire to work in the horse industry. Previous dressage experience is good but not required, solid walk, trot, canter with an independent seat and leg provide a good foundation in every discipline. Our location is easily accessed from the 401 and central to Guelph, Milton, Cambridge, Burlington, Waterdown and neighbouring areas.

Experience/ Requirements:

-Experienced and Comfortable handling, working around a variety of sport horses, including young stock, with a kind and positive manner
-Mucking, turnout, other barn chores as assigned
-Bandaging, basic first aid and horse health check
-Grooming/ tacking/untacking
-Good Communication skills, friendly, positive and open attitude with both other staff and clients
-Equine studies, certifications, pony club background are an asset but not mandatory
-Hard working, punctual, motivated self starter with desire to learn
-Reliable transportation
-Minimum 1 year commitment
-You will be working weekends, and some afternoon or evening shifts through the week.
