Horses101 Seminar Series, Erin - March 24, 31, April 7, 14

Horses101 is a series of seminars geared towards teaching members of the equine industry all about managing horses. From the new rider to the new horse owner to the seasoned horse person, everyone will leave the seminar learning something new about the horse.

Seminars will be held Wednesdays from 7-9pm for 4 consecutive weeks at the Erin Community Centre

Healthy Lands for Healthy Horses,
Equine Stewardship Workshop - March 27 & April 10

Free, interactive 2 part workshop for the equine community. Find out about current environmental issues and what you, as a horse owner, can do to make a difference.

Day 1: Saturday, March 27 – 9am to 3pm at the Caledon Community Complex (6215 Old Church Road, Caledon East).

Day 2: Saturday, April 10 – 9am to 3:30pm at the Caledon Village Place Community Hall (18313 Highway 10, Caledon). Workshop in the morning and farm tour after lunch.

Horses102 Seminar Series, REACH facility in Clinton, ON
April 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th

Horses102  is the follow up series to the popular Horses101 program launched last fall in Clinton.  It is a series of seminars geared towards teaching members of the equine industry all about managing horses.

Seminars will be held Tuesdays from 7-9pm for 4 consecutive weeks in Clinton, ON at the REACH facility

Special topics for Horses102 include Preventing barn fires and preparing for disasters presented by renowned instructor Michelle Staples as well as the Managing the Broodmare presented by Dr.Katie Crossan from the Kirkton Veterinary Clinic and Doug Nash, former manager of Glenglate farms and current instructor in the Equine Guelph online Growth and Development course.

Guided Tour of the Equine Anatomy (click to register now) - April 24

In this hands-on laboratory session you will have an opportunity to take part in a guided dissection of the anatomy of a horse. You will investigate the systems and regions of the body methodically to understand their natural form and function, and some of the good and bad effects of human interaction.

Advanced Equine Anatomy (click to register now) - April 25

In this advanced laboratory session you will have an opportunity to concentrate on one area of the anatomy of a horse. Whether you are interested in the legs, respiratory system, skeleton or other system, you can investigate the system in depth to understand the natural form and function.
